In 1977 the first Greco Donair & Pizza Restaurant opened in Moncton, New Brunswick featuring a delicious line of pizzas and introducing the “Donair”, a new product in the region. New Brunswickers loved the new exciting taste of the Donairs and it quickly caught on as one of Atlantic Canada’s famous, must-try dishes.
With deep roots in the region, Greco grew in the Maritimes and in 1981, Grinner’s Food Systems Limited in Truro, Nova Scotia acquired Greco Pizza. Since then, Greco Pizza has remained a steadfast slice of the region’s culture, always offering delicious, high-quality food with the best value. Today Greco is the number one Pizza delivery chain in Atlantic Canada with over 110 locations operating in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland, and Ontario.
In 2000 the Grinner’s family expanded by acquiring the existing Capt. Submarine franchise and again in 2015 with the creation of FROZU! Frozen Yogurt.
